Welcome to TPS

We’re an active and friendly local camera club based in Oxted, Surrey. We meet weekly on Thursday evenings at St. Mary’s C of E School at 8pm for a range of events including expert guest speakers, competitions and other events. We also run regular trips and visits to a variety of interesting locations.

TPS is a member of Surrey Photographic Association and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. As part of this, we help showcase member’s photos in friendly, external competitions with other local clubs and in the Surrey Photographic Association’s Inter-Club Competitions.

Our Meetings

We meet weekly between September and June on Thursday evenings from 8pm-10pm. Most of our meetings take place in person, but once a month we meet online using Zoom. This allows us to book a broad range of speakers from across the UK and beyond.

Our History

Our origins date back to 1963 when the club was formed as the Caterham Community Camera Club. TPS officially came into existence in 1999, meeting in Caterham until 2012 when it moved to Godstone and then again, in 2021, to our current venue in Oxted.

How we are run

TPS is run by a committee of volunteers appointed by the members of the society at the AGM.
