Our weekly Thursday evening meetings are held between 8pm and 10pm, from September to June. These are a mix of Zoom meetings online (generally one per month), the majority being physical meetings at St Mary's School in Oxted.

Our events include:

Various guest speakers; our presentations cover a wide variety of themes, and our occasional Zoom meetings allow us to attract speakers from further afield,

Competitions; run throughout the year, with some printed and some solely as projected digital images. These competitions are divided into three classes, so that members are judged with photographers of a similar level. We have categories including Natural History, Mono, Creative (anything goes!) and two set subjects chosen by the Committee each year (this year's subjects will be announced soon),

Member critique evenings; our resident judges talk us through how to bring out the best of our photos during editing,

A programme of photography walks and visits; affectionately known as Out and Abouts. These are a great way to meet socially, but can also be an excellent opportunity to share knowledge,

Fun photography challenges; TPS365 (a photo a day), TPS52 (a photo a week) and TPS12 (you can see where this is going...). These photos are shared with other participants on Flickr.

Our members have a range of abilities, but we have a friendly and informal atmosphere, and people are always willing to help new (and experienced) members learn. You are sure to find an answer to most questions, either about technique, equipment, or even just places to go and practice.
